The Dermaceutic Mela Peel is a professional depigmenting treatment designed to improve melasma, sun damage, and uneven skin tone. This medical-grade peel works by accelerating skin renewal while helping regulate melanin production, allowing darker pigment to gradually fade and reveal a brighter, more even complexion. This treatment is particularly effective for: • Melasma • Sun damage • Uneven skin tone • Pigmented acne marks • Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation To optimise results and maintain pigment suppression, this treatment INCLUDES A FULL-SIZE MELA CREAM to continue the depigmenting process at home. Most clients notice brighter, clearer skin after the first treatment, with best results achieved through a series of 2-3 treatments spaced about 4 weeks apart. What to Expect Treatment time: 20–30 minutes Downtime: mild redness and peeling for several days Your skin may feel tight, dry, or slightly sensitive as it renews. Peeling typically occurs between days 2–5 as old skin sheds and new skin emerges. Avoid the following for 3–5 days before treatment: • Retinol, Vitamin A, or exfoliating products • AHA/BHA exfoliating acids • Strong active skincare products • Waxing, threading, or hair removal on the treatment area Immediately after treatment: • The peel will remain on the skin and should be rinsed off at home after the time instructed by your clinician (typically 2–6 hours). • Expect mild redness and light peeling over the following days. For the first week: • Apply a gentle moisturiser or recovery cream frequently • Avoid active skincare such as retinol, exfoliating acids, or scrubs • Do not pick or peel the skin • Avoid heat exposure such as saunas, hot baths, or intense exercise • Wear SPF daily and avoid direct sun exposure Three days after the peel, Mela Cream is introduced to continue the depigmenting process and help inhibit pigment production. Sun protection is critical during this period because the skin becomes more sensitive to UV exposure.
